Socar Tanap DCS Virtualization

At TANAP facilities, a comprehensive project involving the virtualization of a total of 7 Experion clusters is ongoing, utilizing VMware vSphere Essential Plus technology. Within the same scope, the R511–R530 Experion migration is also being executed, further enhancing the modernization of the system architecture.
Tüpraş Rafinery DCS Virtualization
01 September 2025
Alfatech Otomasyon has successfully initiated a new virtualization project at Tüpraş AKY, ISO-CCR-DHP, and Phase units, based on three Dell VxRail Premium Gen3 clusters. The infrastructure is designed to deliver high performance, scalability, and full compliance with the latest Honeywell Experion PKS virtualization standards. Within the same scope, LCN–ELCN migration and R43X–R530 Experion migration are also being implemented, further advancing the modernization of the control architecture.
Star Rafinery DCS Cluster Segregation
01 October 2024
The existing 4 Virtual Honeywell Experion PKS clusters have been successfully scaled up to 8 fully virtualized clusters. This transformation included the segregation and optimized deployment of 56 redundant C300 controllers, 62 redundant Safety Managers, 44 operator stations, 270 SCADA controllers, and approximately 150,000 I/O points—architected in alignment with a cutting-edge cluster design.
Star Rafinery DCS Virtualization

At Star Refinery, approximately 55 DCS nodes—including servers, clients, and domain controllers—were successfully virtualized across 4 Experion clusters. The infrastructure was built on Dell VxRail Premium Gen3 and designed as two separate virtual clusters. This architecture ensured high availability, operational flexibility, and improved system manageability.
Tanap Maintenance Support Agreement

A support contract was signed with Honeywell for on-site and remote maintenance of DCS and ESD systems at TANAP facilities.
Tüpraş Hydro DCS Migration Project & Virtualization

The first project in Turkey to simultaneously implement HPM-C300PM, FSC-SM, LCN–UVA to ELCN migration, and DCS virtualization was successfully executed. The virtualization infrastructure was built on the Dell VxRail Premium Gen3 platform, ensuring robust performance, scalability, and high availability.
